You think you’ve seen a Dele Momodu interview until you meet this stemwinder or a conversation that he gave me.

Get ready for a Masterclass on life.

From Abiola to Abacha, Diezani to Davido, Amaechi to Wike, Buhari to Tinubu, Nnamdi Kanu to Sunday Igboho, Lagos to London, Bob Dee tells me about the high points or a high profile life. The lessons he has learnt along the way, and why he thinks Nigerians always get it wrong. You have to watch this one. You have never seen the Ovation publisher and the ‘King Of Content’, talk like this before.

He says:

Don’t acquire anything that is not your own ooo.

Pause before you hate.

Pause before you fight.

Pause before you attack.

How Ovation International started!

Even my bank manager, the white lady at the National Westminster bank said, ‘Dele look at me I’m not being racist, but I don’t see how you’re going to do it’. 20,000 pounds!  I went to her to see if she would give us a loan, and she said no I can’t give you a loan because you don’t have any record of doing business in the UK.

But you know we are Nigerians, we are resilient people. We are unbeatable, we are undefeatable.  No challenge can defeat a Nigerian when he is ready. So we got the office, we got the second-hand furniture, you know in England second-hand looks like new. So, we decided to get a bottle of cognac and celebrate. We were in the office like hey finally we have an office but we didn’t know how we were going to pay printers and how were we going to get the first edition out and boom! There was a bomb next to our building. Explosion, massive! Over 100 houses were blown apart. We started running, I started shouting ‘Abacha! Abacha!’, I thought Abacha had discovered where I was.

My cousin left his wife and was running, everybody was scattered.
