“The interviewer lied; I didn’t tell her I had an abortion.” — Phyna addresses Her abortion trolls!
The drama continues as Phyna a Big Brother Naija season seven winner finds herself at the center of a media storm. In her conversation with Chude Jideonwo on our popular #WithChude show Phyna addressed the rumors surrounding an alleged interview about her having an abortion.
Did Phyna have an abortion?
In a bid to answer this question, Phyna vehemently denied ever granting such an interview or ever declaring that she had an abortion with any interviewer.
In her own words, “I didn’t give that interview to these people. It was a conversation in the house, and I wasn’t the only one that said things. People said whatever.”
While the controversy surrounding the alleged interview may have ruffled some feathers, Phyna says she went through a lot and she want to focus on building her brand and detest from anything that will tarnish her image.

Chude: You mentioned the abortion part… but people say you gave an interview where you said that you had an abortion.
Phyna: I didn’t give an interview.
Chude: So what happened? Because we saw it in Punch newspapers.
Phyna: Yes, when I came out of the Big Brother house everybody wanted to chase clout with fame. Everybody wanted to do shit. When I was in the house, there was a conversation and everyone was talking. Before I come to that, the issue of abortion…na who talk hin own dem know right?
There’s no woman that will tell me she has not done it once or twice do you get? Now, I didn’t give that interview to these people. It was a conversation in the house and I wasn’t the only one that said things. People said whatever. I don’t know what we were doing that day that we said it. So, I had already said it on television. Now the interview was on (the) phone after I left the house.
I was surprised I saw it when the news was published. I told my manager, and we wanted to take it serious. Everybody was like you know how people will talk and you just came out. Brand building. You don’t want to tarnish (your image). See, when I came out of the house I went through a whole lot. A whole lot was just going on. I didn’t have that interview. It was what the person watched on television.
