I asked Sen. Jimi Agbaje a daring question; I said to him, “If Bola Tinubu called you and said: Next election, you are the candidate, what would you say?”
His response was shocking!
He responded by saying, “It’s not just about having power for the sake of it because I could have been Deputy Governor back then. A lot of people abused me at the time and called me a foolish man, they said, ‘You were offered the post of the deputy governor, and you didn’t take it’. I responded by explaining the fact that the price meant I had to disown my origin and That was not going to happen!”
Sen. Jimi is audacious!
He made it very clear to me that being governor had to be on the right terms – His own terms!
