I Miss Everything About My Mom — BOVI UGBOMA

Apr 14, 2023

I miss everything about my mom. It’s been six years now, and I still think about her every day. There’s something that must happen in a day that reminds me of her, and that’s how I know how much impact she has made. Everything I have become is because of her. She taught me how to read at a young age, how to be compassionate, and how to be very empathetic. Some of the things she taught me, I learned by watching her. She didn’t sit me down to put me through them.

She also taught me to be very positive and to let go. I only recently started letting go because I’m a hybrid of good and crazy. I think, as kids, we tend to pick up the things we see and observe faster than the ones they try to teach us. So, as I grew every day, I realized that learning is a continuous process, and it never ends. The day you stop learning is the day you start dying. That’s why I keep trying to push and learn while living, because you will be tempted to want to be either self-righteous or a moralist.

The truth is, life is meant to be lived, and one of the ways to live and enjoy life is to make mistakes. You have to just let go and levitate.

Travel light!
