So, my guest today is a Nigerian legend, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde!
She’s one of the most famous female in and out of Nigeria. She has been in this industry for almost thirty years and today we are talking about the person of Omotola.
In this exclusive interview she talked about marrying at 18, protecting her emotional space, and how the death of her father when she was 12 completely changed the course of her life.

“So I was just there, I was numb, I was really numb. And now that I’m older I think I understand it but then I didn’t.
“I just became emotionless and it has affected me till this day. There’s hardly anything you say that can almost move me. It was like something died in me.”

“So we both understand that I’m with you is not because I have to be with you. I’m with you because I choose to be with you. He’s with me because he chooses to be with me. So we respect each other’s choices, each other’s space, and each other’s wholesomeness.
“He knows that I’m not with him because I love him all the time. I’m with him because God has given me a mandate to be by his side and vice versa so the time when I see him and I’m not so much in love with him, I report him to God. I’m like “Hey, what’s up now? Are you gonna make it come around?’”
