“I studied law because I wanted to sue my abuser” – Toyin Falaiye

I had a big dream to be a Journalist but all of it was messed up. I decided to study law because I believed that when I finished my studies I would sue my abuser. The pain and abuse affected the trajectory of my life. When I asked God why, He told me to find it. I started looking for it and it was not in the NGO or the books I was writing. I realized I needed to forgive my abuser because there’s a higher calling.

There’s a realm that all of us need to get to and that is why we all have to find purpose in our pain because a lot of people have bottled up a lot of pain.
