“I hated my biological father for abandoning me” – Toyin Falaiye

I went to the university as a 21-year-old broken young woman. The real trauma began when I got to the university, where I struggled to find myself despite being the top student and head girl in secondary school.

I realized I was lost, and I began to hate my biological father. I thought he had abandoned me, and he sold me into slavery, abuse, and this life of misery. The depression deepened and my academics suffered.
