Met the evergreen Ego Boyo on a flight to Nigeria last week for the very first time – and I felt myself wrapped up in the warmth with which she said ‘congratulations’.
She was Chief Juror for the Pan-African Film Mischief Festival, which is a tribe of film heads I admire. And of course she is an industry legend I adore.
I didn’t even know we were nominated for an award! And we got the big one – ‘Best Feature’ for ‘Awaiting Trial’.
The awards and nominations and official selections just continue to pour in!
