Keppy Ekpenyong is a good uncle of mine whose earliest years displayed a thirst for knowledge, a hunger that was nurtured through his educational journey from primary to tertiary level, all within the bounds of his beloved Nigeria.
Uncle Ekpenyong journeyed into the world of acting during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) days at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Under the mentorship of acclaimed director Tade Ogidan. Ekpenyong delved into the intricacies of the art, honing his skills in Drama, Script-Writing, Voice-Over, Producing, and Presenting. The realm of television welcomed him with open arms, as he found himself in the captivating soap opera “Ripples,” where he portrayed the character of ‘airline pilot Hassan Suleman’.
As the Nigerian cinematic landscape evolved, Ekpenyong’s path took a transformative turn. He transitioned from soap operas to the allure of home videos, where he could immerse himself in narratives that resonated with a growing audience.
