The period of my pregnancy broke me. That was the only time I saw my mum not being supportive. After my cousins spoke to her and said I wasn’t a baby anymore and children of my age had given birth to about three kids. I had my daughter at 23 years. My mum said I can have my baby and now she can smile and randomly tell me thank you. She always says she is proud of me. It gives me so much joy knowing that she’s happy and I can take care of her.
