We used the little money we had on us to buy bowls and pure water and started hawking. I swear I was selling pure water and one day I didn’t know that there was an association for the pure water guys. They came and asked who we are and that our faces were new in the area. W begged them that we just got here but they threw our bowls away and sent us out of the area. That was when we now went back to Lagos.
Chude: Where were you sleeping?
Diadem: In uncompleted buildings now. We were just sleeping everywhere.
Chude: How old are you at this time?
Diadem: I was like age 10 or 11.
