“I married a very good man but I was too traumatized to see it” – Toyin Falaiye
I was faced with a dilemma. On one hand, there was a guy I had broken up with four years ago, but he kept coming back and I was considering giving him another chance. On the other hand, another guy was interested in dating me and I was also contemplating it. All of a sudden, the second guy that asked if we could date stopped picking up my calls, and the one who had been begging me for four years came with an engagement ring. I discovered that he had gotten married a year before.
When my husband came, I grew to love him in the marriage. The first six months of our marriage were bliss but as soon as the honeymoon ended, the trauma started. I confidently assert that he was a good person then, and he remains a good person now. However, this traumatized woman didn’t see the amazing man.
