“How I Manage My Mental Health ” — Iyanya
I know it may sound cliché, but I pray to God about everything and trust that He’s going to help me. You know you can’t live this life without God, it’s not possible. So, I try my best no matter how tight it may be, I must say “God see how the matter be o”, and He always comes through for me.
Secondly, I’ve learnt not to allow my mind to dictate the state of my mental health or my happiness. I decide what my mind thinks and that’s what I’m still doing, and I will never stop doing it. Because sometimes I realize we are in a dark place and it’s because we allowed our mind to wander into it and the truth is you get stuck there. It’s something that happens to me, but I had to train my mind on what to believe. I know this is what you think but this is what I want you to believe.
I also surround myself with happy people. My guys have positive energy, and we laugh a lot. It is important to surround yourself with positive people and those that genuinely have a good connection with you. They don’t take things too seriously and you enjoy life together.
