“No matter what a person says in return, your joy is that you’ve done well for them.”- Chude
I like how Yhemolee m responded to the people who told him that Asake was going to forget him. I love it!
First of all, he asked them am I failing? Am I not living my life? Am I not doing my things? The joy of doing a thing for a person is that it doesn’t matter what the person says or does in return.
Now it can be hard before you learn that lesson but once you learn it when you have done something for someone and people will come. I don’t know, it’s as if people are angry on your behalf. They start telling you he has forgotten you, he’s not helping you, why is he not picking up your calls?” Etc.
And then Yhemolee said he refused to listen to those things because what those comments will do is to rub him of the joy in looking at this person achieve. You see has a person who has been lucky to be part of the story of many stars, there’s no greater joy than to see somebody when you saw the beginning, this thing started in my house, in this room… To see that person succeed, you don’t want anything to ruin that joy.
When Yhemolee said Asake is one of my greatest achievement in 2022, ah, I got goosebumps!
Because he understands what life really is about: to give, and to let it go.
