“My relationship with Wizkid was great, but we were too young when we made it public.” — Tania Omotayo sits #WithChude

Tania Omotayo is my special guest on today’s episode of #WithChude.

Tania shared with me how she felt when she suffered severe pain from her menstrual cycle and how a doctor told her father in her presence that she was only playing, nothing was wrong with her. She also opened up about her relationship with the popular Afrobeat musician ‘Wizkid‘ and the insults media trolled on her.

She says:

“I was happy in the relationship with Wizkid. I consider myself to live in my own world. So, I don’t like things on the outside. Imagine being 21 years and thrown into the media. It was a time where it wasn’t normal for young people to be in a relationship and be so public.

I think at that time we were the only ones in that situation. I know Ice prince came out with his girlfriend a few years after. So, it was new. It was bad. They insulted my destiny. At some point they had nothing to insult me with and started insulting my legs. That I have really skinny chicken legs.

We were young and he was becoming a global superstar. There is no way we wouldn’t have had issues. That would have been impossible. In the beginning I could have never predicted that. Towards the end we knew we clearly had different things that we want to do. But was I happy, Yes! That was my bestfriend and we are fine.
