My first movie role came, and that was “Journey to Self”. God is just so good. It wasn’t easy, I mean I had to really prove to everyone that I really wanted it. Because people thought I left like, I was at the top of my game and I left it. I just disappeared and left it to what people were aspiring for “Marriage”. You know, that’s even very unfair. If anyone gets married it should be the beginning of a new life.
They wanted to erase me yeah, like “Oh, she is married and what could she possibly want to work for.” I have a purpose. I think that’s also cultural and societal. The expectation is that a woman gets married and all of a sudden her identity should be Mrs someone who is no longer who she is.
